Triamcinolone 0.1% Oral paste

Triamcinolone is a corticosteroid medication with anti-inflammatory properties used to treat allergic reactions, joint inflammation, inflammatory bowel disease, psoriasis, lupus, skin conditions, and respiratory diseases. It belongs to the pregnane group and is a derivative of cortisol. It comes in three forms: oral medication, injections, and topical cream. Triamcinolone has contraindications and may cause side effects, so its use should always be under the guidance of a doctor or pharmacist.

1) Precautions Before Using Triamcinolone 0.1%: Do not use the medication in individuals with the following conditions:

  • Fungal, bacterial, or viral infections on the skin.
  • Open wounds or abrasions on the skin.
  • Certain skin conditions such as acne or rosacea.
  • Children under 2 years of age.
  • Inform the doctor about any medical conditions, current medications, drug allergies, and psychiatric history. Triamcinolone 0.1% cream may cause sensations of burning, itching, irritation, dryness, and peeling of the skin.

 2)  How to use the medication:

  • Wash hands before applying the medication.
  • Apply a thin layer of cream to the affected area 2-3 times a day.
  • Gently massage the cream into the skin.
  • Wash hands after applying the medication.

2.1 If you forget to apply Triamcinolone 0.1% cream:

  • Apply the medication as soon as you remember.
  • Do not apply double the amount if you miss a dose.
  • Apply the medication according to the doctor’s instructions.

2.2 Precautions:

  • Do not exceed the recommended dosage.
  • Stop using the medication and consult a doctor if you experience allergic reactions such as rash, hives, or difficulty breathing.

2.3 Precautions while using the medicine:

  • Do not apply the cream around the eyes, mouth, or genitals.
  • Do not apply the cream on open wounds or abrasions.
  • Do not use the medication for an extended period.
  • Use the medication in children only when necessary.
  • Consult a doctor or pharmacist before using the medication.

3) Potential risks from the medicine: Dryness, peeling, itching, skin discoloration, acne, excessive hair growth, skin cracking, infected skin, and compromised immunity.

4) How to store the medication:

  • Store Triamcinolone 0.1% cream at room temperature.
  • Keep the medication out of reach of children.
  • Store the medication in a tightly closed container.
